Tiling almost finished!

Calendar Day 283 (Working Day 181):

We were so lucky today; when we went to visit the house, the tiler was there finishing up the wall and floor tiling to all wet areas!

Not only that, we saw that the stone benchtops were all in!

Let's start from the outside:

Balcony tiles were laid (but no grout yet):

Broom and Linen cupboard doors painted:

Sliding doors to Dining and Bi-fold doors to Family were stained:

and... the kitchen benchtops were installed!

but the rear/waterfall sides were the wrong size... should be 100mm and not 40mm!

Now, going upstairs, this was the condition of the Master bedroom while the tiler was laying tiles in the Ensuite:

here is the ensuite shower now.. with the niche!

and we have the stone benchtop... again, in Mangrove:

the toilet floor tiles (Chocolate Harmony Porcelain):

The kids' bathroom:

Stone benchtop & surround tiles (to mirror) were intalled:

The tiler said he would finish the tiling on that day. Hope he did!
We're happy with the quality of the laying so far..

Site appointment - finally saw the cupboards!

Calendar Day 253 (Working Day 160):

We had a site appointment with our SS today at 10am.
We were so excited because we would finally see the cupboards up close!

So here are the photos:

Front door was delivered:

All doors were installed.. and here is the one under the stairs:

We also clarified the issue with the power outlet in the fridge area. When we reviewed all our previous plans, the power point was situated to the rear. But the final plan that we signed, with all the variations (e.g. separate light switches to kitchen pendant lights, two-way switches, etc) that we requested and corrections that they made, reflected a different location for the power outlet! It was on the left side of the fridge opening!

We explained the situation to our SS, who then rang their electrician for clarification. It was indeed to the side of the fridge opening! SS tried to convince us to agree to the new location but we explained that we already ordered the two fridges and we only have enough clearance (30mm) to both sides of the fridge (as per manufacturer's recommended clearance). He rang the electrician again and instructed to change the location of the power outlet.

Kudos to our SS!

We are at Fixing Stage!

Calendar Day 247 (Working Day 156):

We are officially at Fixing Stage!

The entry door to the Mud room has been installed.
Therefore, we could no longer enter the house!

Here is the clearest photo that we were able to take of the Kitchen area:

Pergola timber slats were finally installed:

We're very pleased with how the pergola looks now.

Plastering nearly finished!

Calendar Day 233 (Working Day 146):

We went to the house yesterday (Saturday) to see the progress, but saw some people cleaning the bricks!

Then we went back today and saw at least 3 people inside, cleaning the house!
Wow finally.. our house is being cleaned!
After our daughter's choir concert (around 4:30pm), we hurriedly went back to the house to take some photos.

Plastering is nearly finished!!!!!

Oh by the way, our SS rang Jerry last Friday to give some updates.
He said that he gave an instruction to the plasterers to do a good job, as the owners are very meticulous ;)

We reckon, they did a great work with the plastering!

Woohooo!!!!!
